Terms of service
Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel. These are the commercial facts of the service, written down so a lawyer can turn them into an enforceable agreement. Do not launch with this page as-is.
What the service is
Railyard provides a control plane that deploys and manages applications on servers you own or rent from a third-party cloud provider. We do not supply the servers, and we are not party to your agreement with your provider.
Your responsibilities
- Paying your cloud provider directly for the infrastructure you run.
- Keeping credentials, provider tokens and SSH keys secure.
- The content and lawfulness of the applications you deploy.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed in Canadian dollars, monthly or annually in advance, and exclude GST/HST which is applied based on your province. The Team plan is charged per connected server. Cancelling stops future charges; we do not pro-rate a period already paid for.
What happens if you cancel
Access to the control plane ends. Applications already deployed to your servers continue running, because nothing in their request path depends on us.
Availability
We aim for high availability of the control plane, and paid plans that include an SLA state its terms explicitly. An outage of the control plane does not stop your deployed applications from serving traffic.
