2FAuth

Community

Open-source, self-hosted two-factor authentication token manager — generate TOTP/HOTP codes from a browser instead of your phone.

Why deploy on Railyard

Railyard runs it standalone on a server you already pay for — no addons to provision, with zero-downtime deploys and scaling still included.

Deploying 2FAuth is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.

Good for

  • A browser-based alternative to Google Authenticator/Authy for a team
  • Centralizing 2FA codes for shared/service accounts
  • Importing existing TOTP secrets from another authenticator app

Good to know

  • SQLite by default — point it at an external database only if multi-instance access is needed
  • Enable encryption (and back up APP_KEY) before storing anything sensitive — it's off by default
