Why deploy on Railyard

Railyard runs it standalone on a server you already pay for — no addons to provision, with zero-downtime deploys and scaling still included.

Deploying Centrifugo is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.

Good for

  • Real-time features (chat, live updates, notifications) for a web or mobile app
  • A language-agnostic pub/sub layer in front of your own backend, over WebSocket/SSE/HTTP-streaming
  • Presence and online-status tracking across many concurrent connections

Good to know

  • Runs with the in-memory engine — presence/history don't survive a restart; point ENGINE_TYPE/BROKER at Redis after deploy if you need that to persist or to scale beyond one instance
  • The admin web UI is enabled and served on the same port as client connections
