Redis/Memcached-compatible in-memory data store built for modern multi-core hardware — a drop-in, higher-throughput replacement.

Why deploy on Railyard

Railyard runs it standalone on a server you already pay for — no addons to provision, with zero-downtime deploys and scaling still included.

Deploying Dragonfly is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.

Good for

  • A drop-in Redis replacement with higher throughput and lower memory overhead on multi-core servers
  • Caching and session storage for apps that already speak the Redis protocol
  • Shared in-memory state across services without running a Redis cluster

Good to know

  • Speaks the Redis wire protocol — point any Redis client at this app using DRAGONFLY_PASSWORD as the auth password
  • Snapshots to the mounted volume on its own schedule; this isn't a managed Railyard addon, so backups are your own responsibility
