Why deploy on Railyard
Railyard runs it standalone on a server you already pay for — no addons to provision, with zero-downtime deploys and scaling still included.
Deploying OpenClaw is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.
Good for
- A personal AI assistant you talk to from Telegram/Discord/Slack instead of a web app
- Automating recurring tasks via natural-language scheduled routines
- A shared team gateway instead of everyone running their own assistant locally
Good to know
- First run needs a model provider key and at least one chat-platform connection, configured through OpenClaw's own setup flow — nothing is pre-wired via env vars beyond the gateway token
- It's a full autonomous agent with shell, browser, and messaging-credential access, not a passive chat UI — treat its state volume and gateway token as sensitive
