Why deploy on Railyard
Railyard runs it standalone on a server you already pay for — no addons to provision, with zero-downtime deploys and scaling still included.
Deploying QuestDB is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.
Good for
- Ingesting high-volume sensor, metrics or event time-series data
- Real-time analytics dashboards over fast-moving data
- A faster alternative to InfluxDB for time-series workloads
Good to know
- Also listens on 8812 (Postgres wire protocol) and 9009 (InfluxDB line protocol) inside the container — expose extra ports if ingesting over those
- The web console at the published port doubles as the SQL query interface
- Mount the data volume before going live — stopping the container without it loses everything
