What does Railyard cost?
Free for 1 server plus a database server, and 3 apps. Pro is $19 a month per team for up to 5 servers and unlimited apps. Team is $49 a month with unlimited servers and single sign-on. Pay yearly and you get 2 months free.
Why pay when Coolify or Dokploy are free?
They're free because you run the control panel yourself: install it on a server, keep it online, update it and back it up. Railyard runs the control panel for you, so there's nothing extra to babysit, and your apps and databases still live on your own servers at your provider's price. If you'd rather not pay at all, the Free plan covers 1 server plus a database server and 3 apps.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The Free plan never asks for one, and every new team gets 14 days of Pro without a card. When the trial ends you move to Free unless you pick a plan. Nothing is deleted or stopped.
Do I pay for servers through Railyard?
No. Servers live in your own cloud account and your provider bills you directly at their price. Railyard never resells compute, so there is no markup to find.
Why is staging free?
Staging and preview environments are containers on servers you already pay for, not new machines. They sleep when nobody uses them and add nothing to your provider bill unless you choose to add a server.
Will my bill ever change on its own?
No. The price is flat per team. There is no charge per app, per deploy, per seat or per gigabyte, so traffic spikes and busy weeks cost the same as quiet ones.
What happens if I go over a limit?
Nothing stops. Running apps keep serving; you just can't add another server or app until you remove one or move up a plan.
What happens to my apps if I leave?
They keep running. They are ordinary containers on ordinary Linux servers behind a standard Caddy proxy. Leaving ends your access to the control plane, not your infrastructure.
I joined before plans launched. What changes?
Nothing you pay for. Teams that joined before plans launched keep Pro free, for life.
