DocuSeal
Community2 services
DocuSeal, open-source document filling and signing — build a PDF form once, collect signatures from anyone on any device — with a dedicated Postgres database.
What you get
- All 2 services provisioned together: docuseal, docuseal-db
- A community template, not yet verified end to end by the Railyard team
- Automatic HTTPS and zero-downtime deploys
How to deploy DocuSeal
- 1
Connect a server
Attach a DigitalOcean, Hetzner or Vultr server to Railyard, or any Linux box over SSH.
- 2
Click "Deploy DocuSeal"
Railyard builds the container and provisions all 2 services.
- 3
Set your domain
Point your domain at the app. Railyard issues an HTTPS certificate and keeps it renewed automatically.
Why deploy on Railyard
Railyard provisions all 2 services in this stack together — docuseal, docuseal-db — wired to reach each other over the private network, on a server you already pay for.
Deploying DocuSeal is one piece of a bigger stack you can keep building — add a database, a worker, a cache, or another app, all on the same servers you already pay for.
Good for
- Collecting signatures on contracts, offer letters or agreements without a DocuSign subscription
- Building a fillable PDF form once and reusing it for every new signer
Good to know
- No admin account is seeded — DocuSeal's own first-run flow creates the first user from the web UI on first visit
- Upstream's own reference compose adds a Caddy service for its own TLS — skipped here since Railyard already terminates TLS in front of every app
- The /data/docuseal volume holds uploaded documents, generated signing keys and completed submissions — don't lose it
