Billing
Free, Pro and Team plans: one flat price per team, the 14-day Pro trial, limits, upgrades and failed payments.
Railyard is priced per team, never per app, deploy, seat or gigabyte. Your cloud provider bills you for servers directly; Railyard never resells compute. Current prices are on the pricing page.
| Plan | Servers | Apps | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 3 | Managed databases, HTTPS, zero-downtime deploys, the Canvas |
| Pro | 5 | Unlimited | Free staging and pull request environments, verified backups, alerts |
| Team | Unlimited | Unlimited | Single sign-on and SCIM, priority support |
Staging, preview environments and databases are never charged: they run on servers you already pay for.
Trial
Every new team gets 14 days of Pro, no card. Settings → Billing shows the days left. When the trial ends the team moves to Free: nothing is deleted or stopped, you just can’t add servers or apps past the Free limits until you upgrade or remove some.
Upgrading and paying
On Settings → Billing, an admin or owner picks a plan, monthly or yearly (two months free), and pays through Stripe. If you upgrade during the trial, the first charge waits until the trial ends. Manage payment opens the Stripe portal for invoices, cards and cancelling.
Limits
When a team is at its limit, adding a server or app stops with a message saying which plan raises it. Running apps are never affected.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, the Billing page says so. After seven days the team becomes read-only (apps keep running; deploys and changes wait) until the payment goes through.
Early-access teams
Teams created before paid plans launched keep Pro free, for life.
